I am on the search for waterproof hiking shoes, preferably boots. I’ve tried many brands, but most hurt my feet, leading me to hike barefoot. I switched to Altras years ago and loved them, but their waterproofing doesn’t last, and they are expensive. I’ve recently tried Xeros, but even after sizing down, the fit isn’t right. I need zero drop shoes with a wide toe box and narrow heel. I’m open to spending more if the shoes are comfortable and durable. Any suggestions?
I’ve switched from Altras to Topos. The Topos Trailventure 2 is a great choice, though it has a 5mm drop. The toe box is spacious, and the boots feel durable. Topos Trailventure 2

I recently got the Trailventure 2s and took them on a 4.5-mile hike. They’re great for winter hiking, even with a slight drop. They’re comfortable, and the transition from zero drop wasn’t noticeable.
Have you looked into Lems? They offer zero-drop boots with good waterproofing.
You might want to revisit Xero, as they offer various models of zero-drop, waterproof boots.
