Should I Snag a Garmin inReach Mini 2?

I can get a Garmin inReach Mini 2 for $50, but I know about the subscription cost. We’d mainly use it for emergencies (SOS) and maybe some tracking so my dad can see where we’re at. We hike in Colorado, usually have cell service, but better safe than sorry. Is it easy to use? Worth the price?

It’s totally worth it. I’ve used mine in the Rockies. Super easy to use, and the SOS button is a lifesaver. For $50? Grab it.

I had one but sold it. The subscription added up, and we barely used it. If you have good cell service, you might not need it.

I use it mainly for tracking so my partner doesn’t panic, lol. The Mini is simple and perfect for that.

You can activate it only when you need it! I do that for trips, then it’s off the rest of the year.

Check out the Spot X too. It’s cheaper on the subscription and does the same stuff.

If you’re just using it for SOS, grab a Personal Locator Beacon. No subscription, just hit SOS in an emergency.
