Retired hiking shoes after 1 year and 1200 km: comparison with a new pair

Ok…

How did you track the distance covered?

I record my activities with a Garmin watch, which syncs to Garmin Connect and also to https://sporttracks.mobi/. In SportTracks, I tag the gear (like shoes) used for each activity, and it generates a report showing total usage for that specific gear.

My advice is to invest in a good brand like Scarpa. They offer better stability and can last over 2000 km.

Trail running shoes are great but only last a few hundred miles. Consider light hiking or approach shoes—they’re more durable.

I’m sharing my experience and opinion. I’ve seen people ask how long hiking shoes last, so I thought this might help.

Great comparison, thank you!
