Hello! I’m planning to hike the Camino in Spain next spring and am in search of backpack recommendations suitable for women. I’m considering backpacks up to 45 liters and ideally lighter than 1.5 kg. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
You might want to consider the Hyperlite Junction 40L for its durability and lightweight design. Another good option is Gossamer Gear; their Kumo model is great if you prefer a ‘fast pack’ style. Osprey also offers high-quality, women-specific ultralight packs like the EJA, available in both 38 and 48 sizes. The Tempest model in orange is particularly eye-catching.

No problem, I’m happy to help! My girlfriend used her Hyperlite Mountain Gear pack for the Camino and it was perfect for her. They are a bit pricey but worth it for their versatility, especially on a town-to-town trip like the Camino.
When I did the Camino Frances, I used the Gregory Jade 28 and it was ideal. It’s unlikely you’ll need a 45L as it can be quite cumbersome. There are services that can transport any excess belongings from one point to another for a small fee, which could be useful. I managed to fit everything I needed into my backpack without issue.

This is super helpful, thanks! I didn’t know about the porter service. I have a 25L and wasn’t sure it’d be big enough, but maybe it will work with this option.

You’re welcome! Many porter companies advertise in hotels and hostels. They usually operate on an honor system where you attach your payment to your luggage with the destination noted, and they take care of the rest. It’s very convenient and reliable.
@Joss
That sounds really practical! Thanks for all the great advice!
