I’ve been noticing my hands get super itchy in the cold these days. I’m in Colorado, and I need a thin glove that lets me do stuff like drive or handle small things. Wind-blocking is a must, but nothing too bulky. Any tips?
Go for North Face Etip gloves, they’re thin, block wind, and also let you use your phone with ease. I use ‘em for hiking here in Wyoming.
Seirus All Weather gloves are not the warmest, but really good for keeping wind chill at bay. They’re also windproof and light.
I’m in New York and hate wearing thick gloves too, I use these.
They’re Black Diamond Lightweight Softshell gloves
I gotta disagree, these softshells have never worked for me tbh. I got them once and regretted.
I use liner gloves, like the Merino wool ones, under a windproof shell. Not the prettiest combo but keeps you flexible and warm in Washington winters. I prefer that over softshells.
Seems like it could get bulky? Have you had any issues with that when driving?
It can be a bit much while driving, but for hiking, I’m golden. Plus, wool keeps the stink away
I’m gonna throw in Patagonia R1 gloves. They are lightweight, wind-resistant, and they dry quick. You can handle carabiners like a pro with them
I like that they dry fast—been caught in surprise snow way too many times.
Fast drying is clutch, but personally, I think they’re too slippery for driving. Had a pair slide right off the wheel once, never again.
They’re better for hiking than driving for sure I agree. Maybe I should stick to mittens when I’m behind the wheel next time
I don’t know who needs to hear this but don’t leave any gloves in your car overnight during a cold snap. Learned that the hard way… Stiffest gloves ever.
