Hi, I’m in the UK and enjoy getting out whenever possible. While I don’t rely solely on technology, my smartphones have often been quite handy. I’m looking for a phone that’s dependable, functional, and practical for outdoor use, with a good camera as a bonus feature.
I use a Google Pixel 7 and it’s been great for my needs. For hiking or outdoor activities, any smartphone can be effective if equipped with the right protective case and screen protector. There are also accessories like backpack straps designed for smartphones, which can enhance security and accessibility while on the move.

Thanks for the suggestion!
The latest iPhone or a high-end Android would be suitable. They have good cameras, long battery life, and are waterproof. The newer iPhones also have satellite messaging for emergencies, which is a plus. I’ve used iPhones for years and have been very satisfied, although they can be difficult to use in rainy conditions, even with a protective case.

Could you tell me which model you use? I’m considering the flagship models, but find them a bit too large. I currently have a Huawei P30, which I’ve used for about 7-8 years, and it’s a practical size for me.
@Tavi
I use a regular iPhone, not the Pro Max, as it’s more manageable with one hand. It’s not significantly larger than your Huawei, so it might be a good fit for you.
