I’m trying to figure out what I need to bring for a tent repair kit. I’ve heard horror stories about tents getting ripped or punctured, so I want to be prepared. Any suggestions?

Yeah man, once my tent got a huge hole in it after a storm. It was a total nightmare. But anyway a good repair kit should include duct tape, a seam sealer, and some tent repair patches.
I’m a big fan of DIY solutions. You could also try using a combination of superglue and a small piece of nylon fabric. It’s a bit more work, but it can be effective.
I’m a minimalist when it comes to packing, so I usually just bring a roll of duct tape and a small tube of seam sealer. It’s pretty versatile and can handle most minor repairs.
A good tent repair kit should also include a small pair of scissors and a lighter. Scissors are handy for cutting patches to size, and a lighter can be used to seal the edges of patches and to melt the seam sealer.
