Hey all! I need advice on sunglasses. I’ve checked out these Polarized Under Armour ones, and Julbo looks cool too, but I don’t wanna drop over 80 bucks. I’m in Slovakia so would prefer something closer to Europe. Help?
Get Julbo, bro. I’ve had mine for like 3 years now, solid stuff. Plus, they are polarized, helps a lot with glare on the trails too.
Nord Blanc sounds good. My pair lasted through a fall in a creek, lol. Not bad for budget sunglasses.
Just stick with polarized, you’ll thank me when you’re not squinting the whole hike. Julbo’s worth it. Also, don’t worry about spending too much, you’ll use them more than you think.
I wouldn’t stress too much. I started with cheap $20 shades from Decathlon. Lost them, lol, but they worked fine while I had them.
Decathlon ones? Might check them out. Do they hold up in sweaty weather though? Slovakia gets HOT, I’m telling you
SWEAT? Haaa, man, I had mine slide down my face halfway up a mountain. Ended up hiking half-blind, go for good fit with nose grips.
Don’t buy cheap. I had a cheap pair crack after I dropped them like 2 feet. Invest a bit more, better for your eyes and wallet long term.
Mine survived a tumble into a river, but after that… let’s say they’ve seen better days. Still, not bad for a budget pair.
Dude, I lost mine in the woods on day one. I was too busy laughing to care. Cheap sunglasses are just… temporary friends.
Bought a $15 pair once, forgot them on a bus. Felt zero guilt. But, after a sunburned nose… I invested.
Burned nose from bad glasses… OMG been there. If you’re on a budget you can just consider the Nord Blanc, they’re cool. Not bad for $40-ish.
I read that Julbo don’t fog up like other cheaper ones plus UV protection is no joke.
Yeah, that’s true. They are worth it. For real
Julbo never fogs, that’s for sure. I once hiked in the rain, and those babies stayed clear the whole time.
Wait, no fog in rain? Okay, that’s legit a big deal. Slovakia’s weather changes like CRAZY. One minute sunny, next minute thunderstorms, lol. You might’ve convinced me.
Yeah, dude, go for it. Especially if your weather’s as wild as you say.
