Need a Better Hipbelt for My ILBE Pack – Suggestions?

Hey everyone, I’m a big fan of my ILBE pack, but the hipbelt just doesn’t cut it for me. Anyone have a recommendation for a good replacement? I’m not looking to switch packs, just want to improve the hipbelt. Thanks

I got a suggestion - go with the Gossamer Gear Kumo hipbelt, Super comfy and adjustable.

I hear you dude, the original hipbelt might be pretty rough. Well, the Osprey Exos hipbelt has got great padding and might fit your pack with a bit of tweaking. Just be prepared to do some DIY.

I’m not sure if this helps, but I realized that if you add a foam pad to the existing hipbelt, it can make a big difference in terms of comfort. It’s a cheap fix if you’re not looking to replace the whole belt.

Seek Outside hipbelt is more cushioned and distributes weight better. Might be worth a try,

Hey, try the hipbelt from the Mystery Ranch NICE frame. It’s super supportive and you might be able to modify it to fit your ILBE. I haven’t done it myself though, but just positive things from others.

How’s the durability of the Gossamer Gear hipbelt? I’m a bit rough on gear, so I need something that can handle a lot.

The Seek Outside hipbelt looks interesting. Does it require a lot of adjustments?

It requires minimal adjustments to fit most packs, but it might need a bit of tweaking to get a perfect fit with the ILBE.
