KUHL hiking pants

I was browsing around at my local REI this morning and they had Kuhl convertible pants clearanced down. They had my size so I grabbed a pair. I’ve heard the name before but have zero experience with them. They fit me good, but are they a durable brand or are they marked down so much for a reason?

My hiking pants are awesome, durable, and flattering. My winter coat by them survived Siberia. Kuhl is worth the money and amazing to get at a discount. Enjoy your new pants!

I have multiple pairs of Kuhl pants and shorts. The quality and durability are excellent. They last a very long time. In August, I was hiking in the high desert and somehow ended up sliding several feet downhill on a rocky trail on my butt. I was certain the shorts would be torn up and my butt too. Nope, they survived perfectly.

I own a main pair and have no complaints. They dry fast, which is great for hiking.

Yes, you scored a deal on some great pants. Kuhl is a solid brand. I have 2 pairs of Deceptors and a pair of Renegade Recons.

I own about 5 pairs of Kuhl pants. Even the lightweight ones have earned my trust for rough wear. Way more durable than they look.

Full fit? Must like your Kuhl whip

I love them. I’ve got three pairs.

I have many pairs of Kuhl pants, including the Renegades, and all have been very durable so far. The Renegades are really sturdy (high nylon content) but not my favorites for hiking because they are not nearly as stretchy as others (e.g., Deceptr, Trancendr, Klash). But I think you really don’t have to worry about quality. I have pairs that have been worn and washed dozens of times each and still look like new. I also really like the Suppressor Joggers for hiking in warmer weather.

My Kuhl renegades are by far my favorite hiking pants ever. They’re tough, they dry fast, the zips are great and have never chafed in any weather. The only problem I ever have with Kuhl is that they drop certain cuts and models out of nowhere and never bring them back. They’ll replace it with something similar but not quite the same. So if you find something you like, get a few. If you go back a few years later, chances are you won’t find exactly what you liked before.

I have a pair of these and like them. They’re a bit on the heavy side, but I haven’t had any durability issues except for a zipper on one of the pant legs breaking recently. However, I ended up contacting their warranty and repair service, and they fixed it. So positive experience overall.

These are my favorite pants I’ve ever had. They work well for work and outdoor pants.

As far as the discount, REI lists the new version as ‘available for pre-order’ and the old version as no longer available so those would be whatever local stock is left of the old version. Unless the new version has some necessary feature, I almost always buy the old versions on sale.

LOVE them. Order them from their website and they’ll send you a free mind blowing kuhl brand Stroopwaffle to eat on your hike that will send you to heaven.

Hey man this looks really Kuhl
