Keen Targhee III Fit? Should I Size Up?

Hey y’all, I’m eyeing the Keen Targhee III for some weekend hikes and longer trips. How does the sizing work? I usually wear a 9.5 in US sizes (sometimes a 10 in sneakers depending on the brand). Think I should go bigger with these boots or stick to my usual? Also, if anyone has suggestions for similar boots, I’m open to hearing them.

I wear a 9.5 in most shoes and got the same size for the Targhee IIIs. Some people say they run a bit wide, so depends on your foot shape too.

Good to know, I do have wider feet, so maybe they’ll be a good fit. Appreciate the feedback. :ok_hand: :ok_hand:

I went a half size up with my Keens, but that’s because I wear thicker socks when I hike.

I tried the Targhee III and they felt a little bulky for me, so I switched to the Merrell Moab 2. They feel lighter and less clunky, plus they’ve held up well after months of use.

If you like the Keens, you might want to check out Oboz Bridger Mid too. They’ve got a similar fit but feel more supportive in the arch, at least for me.

They’re pretty solid, I admit. Oboz is great, but be ready for a slightly stiffer break-in period compared to the Targhees.
