So, this Renegade Mid GTX hiking boot I saw is $110 on Sierra but $245 at REI and Amazon. Is that just because it’s an odd color or is Sierra trying to pull something? Is the site legit?
Nah, Sierra’s pretty solid. I got a tent from there last month, no issues. Odd color = cheaper, usually.
LOL, Sierra’s not selling fake stuff. I’d go for the cheap one. Who cares about color?
It’s the “unpopular” color trick. As long as it’s got the same specs, you’re good.
Yeah, colors like “mud brown” don’t sell fast. Grab it before it’s gone.
Haha, I was wondering about that. If the boots work, who cares if they’re ugly, right?
The price gap is wild, but Sierra’s totally fine. I’ve bought jackets and sleeping bags there, no issues.
Alright, looks like Sierra is getting my money. I’ll just close my eyes and pretend they’re black, lol.
I grabbed a jacket from them that was “burnt orange” or something… Saved me 50 bucks though.
I also once got “vomit green” trekking poles. Price was too good to care honestly.
Once you’re on the trail, no one cares what color your boots are. They’ll be covered in mud anyway.
But why do they make such weird colors tho? Like, who asked for “puke yellow” gear?
Hah… Maybe hikers with questionable taste? Or maybe someone thought we wanted to blend in with a swamp?
Right? Next, they’ll release boots in “cow patty brown.
LOL, perfect for the farm-to-hiking-trail trend we all never asked for.
Farm-chic hiking boots… Honestly, I think I’d wear those if they were cheap enough.
Cow print boots on sale next. It’s the new camo, just for the Midwest hikers .
Midwest? More like Cowtown, USA. We should start a trend—cows + hiking + discount boots. Count me in.
Y’all have cracked the code… Farm fashion’s coming. Better grab all the discount gear while we can.
