I love hiking in the Pacific Northwest, but it rains a lot here, and I use my phone a ton for navigation and pics. I’ve been trying to find the best way to keep it dry. I’ve heard that dry bags can sometimes be a pain—like they can stick to the phone when it gets warm or be awkward to use. I’ve also tried disposable bags, but they’re either too tight or too bulky. My iPhone 13 Pro barely fits in a snack bag, and the larger bags are just too clunky. Anyone have any clever solutions or products they swear by for keeping their phone dry without all the fuss?

I found a waterproof phone case with a lanyard. It’s super convenient because I can hang it around my neck and access my phone easily without getting it wet. It’s also a lot slimmer than those bulky dry bags. You can find similar ones on amazon

If you don’t mind a bit of extra bulk, you could consider a rugged phone case with a built-in waterproof feature.
I use a resealable plastic bag that’s a little bigger than my phone. I can pull the phone out easily, and it’s thin enough not to get in the way. It might not be perfect, but it’s cheap and works for me.
I’m all about those waterproof phone pouches that you can wear around your neck or waist.
