Hey everyone, I’m planning a camping trip to Yellowstone this winter and I’m really worried about staying warm at night. I’ve been looking at different camping heaters, but I’m not sure which one is the best. I once used this type of a propane heater, but it was kind of bulky and I didn’t love the smell. Any recommendations?
I’m not a big fan of propane heaters because of the smell and the potential for leaks. I usually opt for electric heaters. They’re a bit heavier to carry, but they’re safer and easier to use. I like the Mr. Buddy heaters.
Coleman propane heater is pretty reliable and it puts out a lot of heat. Plus, it’s not too heavy to carry.
Wood Stoves are the Way to Go…
If you’re looking for a cozy and authentic camping experience, I recommend a wood stove. They’re a bit more work to set up, but they’re super efficient and they provide a lot of heat. Plus, they’re great for cooking on.
Catalytic heaters are also another great option if you’re looking for something lightweight and portable. They’re not as powerful as propane heaters, but they’re a good choice for smaller spaces.
I’ve heard a lot of good things about the Ozark Trail catalytic heater. It’s supposed to be pretty efficient and it’s not too expensive.
I’d Avoid Catalytic Heaters if Possible…I’ve heard that catalytic heaters can be dangerous if they’re not used properly. I’d stick with propane or electric heaters if possible.
Thanks everyone for your input. I think I’ll go with a propane heater. I’ll be sure to do some more research and make sure I get a good one.
