Bro, you need a pair of Gore-Tex boots, mine keeps my toes dry every time I hit those rainy trails. Patagonia also has killer rain jackets. Can’t go wrong there

I love my columbia OutDry gloves. I used to have soggy fingers until I discovered these bad boys.

Tbh, I’ve given up on ‘waterproof’ pants. They ALL leak eventually. But for boots, Salomon Quest 4D is unbeatable. My feet stayed dry after a 5-hour deluge in the Rockies. Highly recommend.

LOL, I’ve been there with ‘waterproof’ pants that become water-absorbing sponges. I’m definitely checking out those Salomons though. Thanks.

Pro tip: Grab a trash bag for your backpack. Cheaper than those ‘waterproof’ covers and works better. My Osprey pack soaked through once—learned the hard way, haha

@InfiniteEcho Don’t listen to @WanderWolf —trash bags tear too easily. Get a proper dry sack for your stuff. I’ve got a Sea to Summit bag, and it’s saved my snacks from a watery fate more than once.

Fair point, but a dry sack doesn’t double as a poncho in emergencies. Trash bags: multi-purpose. Just sayin’

Okay, okay, you win this round. I mean, I’ve definitely worn worse on the trail. :joy:

Something I don’t forget, a good wide-brim hat, I rock the Outdoor Research Seattle Sombrero—keeps the rain off my face, and makes me look like a hiking cowboy. :cowboy_hat_face:

I didn’t even think of a rain hat. Gotta keep the head dry and stylish, right?
