Best breathable pants for guys with thicker thighs?

I’m looking for a breathable pair of pants that fit guys with thicker thighs. The temperatures where I live rarely drop below 40 degrees and often exceed 100 in the summer, so staying cool is my main concern. I was considering the Kuhl Renegade Recon but I’m not sure.

As a Vegas hiker with thicker thighs, Kuhl is my go-to for pants and shorts. The REI brand is also a solid choice and tends to be a bit cheaper. Unfortunately, the best approach is to try them on. For longer, hotter hikes, I wear compression shorts to help with thigh rub. Happy hiking!

I second REI! I really like the Activator pants.

Sounds good! I’ll probably go with the Kuhls but will stop by REI to try them on. Thanks for the help! I’m also a Vegas hiker! :call_me_hand:

Nice! We’ve been enjoying hikes around Lake Mead. Did Owl Canyon a few weeks ago; it was a perfect day on the trail.

Outdoor Research Ferrosi pants are my go-to. I’ve worn them for years and find them very roomy and breathable.

Check out PrAna while you’re at REI. Their pants are spacious without being baggy.

Shorts and Smartwool socks are great options too.

OR Ferrosi for sure! I worked in the Mojave and those were the only pants I wore.
