Anyone tried the Salomon Vibe Trek Low?

Hey all, has anyone here used the Salomon Vibe Trek Low shoes? Wondering how they hold up for some light trail running and hiking. Also, how’s the sizing? I usually wear a 10, but I’ve heard Salomons can be hit or miss. Trying to find something lightweight but still supportive…

I got the Vibe Treks months ago, i agree they’re super comfy for hiking, but I feel like they’re a tad snug. I’m normally a 9.5, and I had to size up to a 10.5. Definitely not bad for mixed-use, but maybe go half a size up if you’re running in them.

Thanks… Snug’s not ideal for running—do you feel like they broke in after some wear? Or did they stay tight?

They loosened up a bit after a few hikes, but they still feel pretty form-fitting. Not in a bad way, though—just secure. If you’re doing more jogging, I’d definitely go up half a size.

I do agree on the sizing being off. I’m usually a size 8 but went with 8.5 and they fit great. They’re light but hold up well on rough terrain. Not sure how they’d feel on a longer run though.

Same experience here. I got ‘em for casual hikes and some outdoor jogging, but I feel like the cushion is a bit too stiff for serious running. For hiking though, no complaints—grip’s great. If you’re mostly jogging, maybe check out the Altras? They’re much softer

I totally agree with @WoodlandWanderer on the cushion—it’s firm. Great for hikes but not so much for running. I have the Hoka Speedgoats for running, but still keep the Vibe Treks for tougher hikes

That’s good to know. I’ve been eyeing Hokas for a while—do you think they’d hold up on rocky trails too?

For sure… I use them on rocky terrain all the time. They’re super cushioned but still durable. Honestly, best of both worlds.

Salomons, man. Love ‘em or hate ‘em, right? I personally went with Merrell Moabs for versatility. They’re not quite as light, but they’ve got killer arch support. Haven’t tried the Vibe Treks, but Merrells are always a good fallback if you’re struggling with sizing.
