Hey everyone, I’m planning a camping trip to Yellowstone National Park next month and I’m looking for a reliable flashlight to keep me safe and illuminated during those dark nights. I’ve used a basic LED flashlight before, but it wasn’t quite bright enough for some of the trails. Any recommendations?
I’d definitely recommend a headlamp. They’re hands-free and allow you to see what you’re doing without having to hold a flashlight. Plus, you can use them for other activities like reading or fixing things around camp.
If you’re worried about running out of batteries, a solar-powered flashlight is a great option. They charge during the day and can provide light for several hours at night.
Btw when choosing a flashlight, make sure it’s durable enough to withstand the elements. Camping can be rough. Look for models that are waterproof and shockproof.

I agree with @WanderWolf . A headlamp is essential for camping. I’ve used mine for everything from setting up my tent to navigating through the woods at night. Anyway I’m a big fan of tactical flashlights. They’re super bright and often have additional features like strobe lights and SOS signals.
I’m more of a handheld flashlight person. I like the versatility and the ability to adjust the beam angle.
Why not get both a headlamp and a handheld flashlight? That way, you’ll be prepared for any situation.
