Just saw that. Fantastic idea, stealing from OP. And the Hikenture for the win! All looks good to me.

Wait, I hate are those?
I would add windproof matches. Lighters have let me down in the past.

I like that! It’s very easy to get, too.

I’d want at minimum 3 liters for 8 miles

Do you have something to filter the water? Or do you have access to potable water?
@Voss
Sawyer is literally right there in the second pic.

Ahem, 3rd. And not everyone knows what a ‘sawyer’ is.

Agreed - more water. Also, I’d wrap some duct tape around those water bottles - wide variety of uses, and those are some flimsy bottles that may need to be repaired.
@Kei
I like that idea!

It depends. Relatively flat terrain, in the trees, and not during the summer I’d only carry 2 liters. I also tend to drink around a liter at the water source.
Otherwise you want more water. Especially if there is no water close to the campsite.
Headlamp and spare batteries or battery pack?

The headlamp is in the first pic on the bottom right, and 2 battery banks are next to the water. The headlamp is rechargeable. No batteries are needed.

Wow, I totally missed that.
